Domaine Des Andéols

A lovely property located in a charming estate. Our Suite Nature 1 had an amazing view and the hotel was so kind to assign the suite we requested at the time of booking. Only suite 1 and 2 have an open view of the estate. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. An excellent base to explore many of the charming towns of Provence. The main reason for 4 stars, rather than 5, is down to food and beverage. Dinner was unmemorable and unfortunately my swordfish was undercooked. The waiter was apologetic and offered us dessert for free. As we were too full and had to decline the offer, the waiter offered to do something about the bill. Unfortunately it was a full bill when we received it. We ordered two Aperol Spritz by the pool, which were not well executed and came without any orange. No snacks or nuts were offered with the drinks, which I found unusual for this level of hotel. Breakfast was very poor value for money. €25 for some pastries, bread, fruit salad and yogurt. Coffee was included, but the cappuccino was terrible. There were a few other touches that I thought were missing and that would’ve made the stay absolutely perfect.

The staff were very friendly, and the food pretty good. However, the food portions were pretty small and incredibly expensive. The views are extraordinary, which I guess is what you are paying for. I’d recommend a visit here for the views and experience, but you can find better food for a more affordable price elsewhere. My last photo is blurry, but the tiramisu on the plate was a “sharing portion” (meant to feed two people) and cost 20€. Should give you a pretty good idea of price vs quantity of food you get.
